If one lives long enough, one becomes a kind of repository of information and experience; with a little luck, wisdom becomes the natural outcome of both.
HOW CAN I HELP YOU?
Making a change in one's personal or professional life can be a lonely business. Sometimes it seems an impossible task, or the overwhelm factor causes us to procrastinate, put on the back burner, or relegate to wishful thinking. And yet, we are bedevilled by the thought of "what if?" If you think it would be helpful to have someone who could be your sounding board, someone who would encourage you to start putting the wheels in motion - maybe do something you've never done before - something you've always wanted to do, but have neither had the time, support, or the impetus to go ahead with, Let's talk.
If you believe you deserve more, I can help you get it. Whether it is related to your career, or personal life, I will be your partner – one without self-interest or an axe to grind. Together we will focus on the path forward, define and set your goals – devise a track to getting there – and manage every step forward with agreed disciplines to ensure accountability.
I coach people going through career transition – whether in terms of progressing in your current job; or moving to another company in a similar role; or doing something completely different with what you know, at which you excel and enjoy doing. I have 18 years of experience in recruitment and have a vast and varied network of contacts. We will prepare a CV suited to the job prospect and I will coach you on interview techniques and support you throughout the process.
Do you have dreams you want to put into action? Are you currently going through a life transition; or would you like to make a change in your life? Are you dealing with challenges in a relationship - a partner, spouse or friend - or with a colleague or superior at work? Do you want to change old habits that have been inhibiting you in some way - preventing you from moving forward in your life? Are you successful in one part of your life, but need to work on another very important part of your life? Are you looking for balance or trying to get rid of the blocks that hold you back? Do you want to do something you've never done before?
Clients often come to me to talk about their professional goals and the coaching morphs into a more universal look at their lives. Whether it's clearing the cobwebs or taking affirmative action. Let's talk.
If you would like to improve your performance, effectiveness and impact as a Manager; or, if you have recently been promoted to a management position and feel you lack the tools to be a successful manager, I can help you build those tools you need to motivate, create loyalty and increase productivity. In additional to institutional assignments in a variety of industries - in the private sector as well as Academic Institutions - I also work with individuals on a personal basis. I work with senior, mid-level and new managers.
I have over 30 years of professional experience in the private sector: Corporate/Investment Banking/Commodities and Entrepreneurship. I was in Institutional Sales at Banker’s Trust Int’l (London) and Morgan Stanley (London) where I covered senior officers at major corporations; I started and ran a successful Executive Search company for 17 years. In the latter, I advised and re-shaped the careers of many people – primarily at executive level – which, in turn, changed many of their lives. My Coaching career was a natural progression from there.
I grew up in America and attended high school in the US and Israel. I studied at university in the US, Israel and the UK. I also lived in France a while too. I have spent most of my adult and working life in the UK.
I have a BA from the Ohio State University where I was on the Dean’s List and finished a 4 year Bachelors (BA) programme in 3 years. I completed my Master’s degree (MA) at The School of Oriental and African Studies, University of London, in Middle Eastern Studies. I am a certified professional coach, having completed an ICF approved course of studies at the Institute for Professional Excellence in Coaching (IPEC).
My early travels taught me to always be curious. My voracious interest in people and my desire to learn have taught me tolerance and generosity of spirit. I love what I do and firmly believe that to be the best at what you do, you have to love it.

Lorraine Richardson, ED, Morgan Stanley Int'l
“Mardy has helped me a lot over the past months; she is an excellent coach with a very good understanding of my personality and gives great advice giving me confidence and guidance to help get me to where I want to be.”
Dorothee van Wieringen, MD, Public Presence
“My career was going well, but I felt I needed to make some serious changes. Mardy helped me to establish a direction for my career and my personal life. Her creative way of asking the questions helped me focus and make a clear plan for moving forward. I would recommend Mardy to everyone with career and/life questions.”
Michael Pagliari, MD, Smith and Williamson
“Mardy has been an invaluable source of advice over many years. Having valuable experience in top tier Wall St banks means she can relate to the issues executives face on a daily basis. Her natural empathy, passion and enthusiasm gives her all the attributes to be an excellent coach.“
Alison Campbell, Director, Boston University, London
"Mardy has worked as a Management Coach for Boston University in London since 2017. Her work with our senior staff has produced a marked improvement in their confidence and ability to lead - as well as their organisational and communication skills. I am very happy to recommend Mardy."
Alexander Zafiriou, Master's Degree Program Columbia University
“Mardy was a great help to me. Initially the main benefit was to talk to someone outside my family and circle of friends who was objective and not governed by any prejudices. She understood my professional and related personal concerns very quickly and we were able to rapidly reach a resolution as to where my future lay. Working with her to create a plan of action also helped me not to procrastinate and make sure I fulfilled the goals that we had set out at the beginning.”
Long country walks with my German Shepherd, Cooper, is a very contemplative time for me (phone switched off). On a bank holiday Monday we walked from Marlow to Henley during the course of which we came across a field of deer grazing on the property of this glorious house in the background.
